What do MOMS Club members do?
Activities for kids
Play Groups: Children are grouped by age and each group meets weekly at a member's home or agreed upon location on a particular day and time. This is a great way for both Moms and kids to get to know one another better!
Music and More: Each month, Moms and kids gather together for a morning of music, stories, and crafts lead by one of our Mom Volunteers. Bring the kids out, even the tiny ones, to enjoy this fun filled activity.
Field Trips: Once a month, the kids along with their Moms, enjoy an exciting morning out and about at a selected location. Some examples of field trips are picking produce at a local farm, storytime at a library, getting to visit kids' heroes at a township police or fire station, becoming a pizza chef at a pizzeria, or getting a tour of a nearby hardware store.
Seasonal Parties: We schedule parties throughout the year to help us celebrate various seasons and holidays. The kids play games and do themed crafts.
Annual Trunk or Treat: Each year just before Halloween, we gather with our vehicle trunks decorated ready to hand out treats to all the kids in costume. We also have prizes for the best decorated vehicle and best costume.
Community Service: As a nonprofit organization, we must complete at least one service project annually benefiting women and children. It is a wonderful way to teach our children about giving to those in need and caring for others. In past years, our club has worked with local retirement/assisted living facility, donated meals and gifts to families during the holidays, and raised money or collected needed items for local organizations.
Park Days: These days will randomly appear on the calendar and offer members the opportunity to socialize and play at one of the local playgrounds. Pack a picnic lunch and make a morning out of it!
activities FOR MOMS
MOM's Night Out/Couples Night Out: Events are scheduled where moms (and sometimes couples) can gather to socialize, relax, and enjoy each other's company. These evenings have included dinner out, massage/facial night, game night, mini golf and going to the movies. Every Mom deserves a 'girls' night out' now and again!
Speaker & Discussion Gathering: In the past we have had pediatricians, chiropractors, fitness gurus, doctors, and child-rearing experts speak to our group on topics relatable to our world as moms.
Helping Hands: Members of our club volunteer to provide meals for new (and new again) moms.
Book Club: A title is picked for the group to read and moms gather to discuss and socialize.
Monthly Newsletter: Once you become a member, you will receive our monthly newsletter via email which gives you the scoop on all the month's activities.
